Rev Alexander Mackintosh gave evidence to the Napier Commission at Lochboisdale on 28 May 1883. He was the Roman Catholic priest in the area (for St Peters of Daliburgh), but according to
Catholic Highlands of Scotland, Rev Mackintosh held the curate only for a short while. We find him on the 1881 census as a visitor to Haven, Boisdale, staying with the Johnston family. He is listed as born at Arisaig, which is borne out in his evidence, when he states that he is a native of Lochaber.
